We are always looking for great Software Developers (Back End, Front End and Full Stack). As our developer you are involved in projects from inception to completion. You will work in a Scrum team consisting of four Developers, a Tester and a Product Owner. EDIA always works team centered with one and occasionally two projects per sprint.

Besides developing you are busy devising solutions, choosing the right technology and demonstrating your work to the client. Naturally, as a knowledge hungry developer you are open to sharing your knowledge with the entire team.

One of the possible projects is the continuous development of a learning management system, including LTI tools, with over a 100K active users a year. Or you could be working on new functionalities for a healthcare platform, including an innovative treatment management system.

Our new colleague is an experienced developer with a Higher Vocational Education Level (HBO) or University Degree (WO) and gets enthusiastic about creating a great user experience and has a passion for product and code quality.

Knowledge of Java is a must, knowledge of libraries such as Spring and Hibernate is very desirable. The same goes for the knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript and CSS. The frontend framework of choice is React with Flux. We work with relational databases such as MySQL and NoSQL-based databases such as MongoDB and the graph-based database Neo4j. You are expected to learn quickly, discover and share new technologies and insights.

We love to see you grow, and therefore we have a personal training budget for every single employee within EDIA. Our philosophy is ‘Finding simple solutions to complex problems’. At EDIA we encourage our employers to proactively present their own ideas and initiatives. We offer a great place to work, in a beautiful historic building with a large garden in the lively city centre of Amsterdam. You’ll get to work with the latest technologies and experience a very open culture where we are really proud of what we do.

There is a personal atmosphere at EDIA - relaxation and sociability are found to be just as important as hard work. Every day we enjoy a healthy lunch together in the cosy basement. During summer, we regularly hangout after work, light the barbecue and have a beer or a glass of wine.
