SURFconext zorgt dat diensten van verschillende aanbieders met en naast elkaar gebruikt kunnen worden waardoor nieuwe samenwerkingsmogelijkheden ontstaan. Instellingen passen SURFconext toe om interne en externe diensten te integreren en om gebruikers een samenwerkingsomgeving te bieden die meebeweegt met hun online samenwerkingsbehoefte (Bron: surfnet.nl).
Digital Dutch Language Portfolio

Sakai Commercial Affiliate Program

By joining this program Edia is supporting the Foundation's work, the development of Sakai, and to directly contribute to Open Source technological innovations for higher education.

Edia develops Gradebook for CSU
Fri 18-12-2009 - 14:46 — Melvin WeversLast summer, Charles Sturt University (CSU) hired Edia to develop a Gradebook tool for Sakai. This tool is still in design and will feature some features specifically designed for CSU. Based on CSU's functional design Edia has designed to develop a completely new tool, rather than making adjustments to the old design.

Thu 15-10-2009 - 22:01 — Maarten van HoofMichael Korcuska, Exceutive Director of the Sakai Foundation visited Edia on October 5. He was in Amsterdam to speak on the OpenIC Symposium. This was a chance for Edia to update him on the Sakai Development that we've been doing recently. Micheals blog post about the visit is an excellent summary.

Kennisnet E-portfolio
Wed 10-06-2009 - 10:10 — Rintse van der WerfTogether with learning4u we have developed an implementation of the IMS e-portfolio standard in Sakai. Kennisnet has developed a Dutch application profile for this IMS standard, that facilitates the exchange of electronic portfolio data between different ELO's. The sakai tool that Edia developed for learning4u is available to the sakai community under an open source licence.
Creating your own GroupProvider in Sakai

We are currently involved in a project that implements GroupProvider to allow the members of a federated administration workspace to manage the worksites created inside that federated administration worksite. More on that in future posts. Here I'd like to briefly give a few pointers about implementing your own GroupProvider.
