Edia Sakai tools
Over the last few years, Edia has developed a significant number of sakai tools that are donated to the sakai community under an open source licence. All our tools are available on our public Sakai instance on http://sakaitools.edia.nl (opens in new window).
The Sakai Maps tool integrates Google Maps into Sakai and allows users to define and browse points of interest (POI) on the map.
The Skin Manager allows you to inspect, install, update and delete skins on a sakai instance.
The Signup Tool is a tool that allows users to publish events such as seminars and lectures at points in time. Both owners and particpants can manage enrollments.
The Invite Tool makes it easy for teachers and administrators to create users and make them a member of sites.
The Edurep Tool integrates the Dutch content repository Edurep into Sakai. Edurep is a central facility for finding digital learning materials.
The Fedora Tool integrates the Fedora and Sakai to support the digital management and dissemination of research results.
The SCORM player can upload and play SCORM 2004 packages in Sakai.
The Knowledge Base Tool is a complete knowledge base application that replaces the help-function of Sakai. It is context sensitive to sites, tools, permissions, level of experience, and it features a Lucene/Solr search engine.
The Community Manager can create pre-configured admin workspaces for delegated adminstration at the level of faculty, schools or communities.
The Create Site Tool can create new sites on the basis of templates, along with the content from the template site.
