Sakai Foundation director visits Edia

Michael Korcuska, Exceutive Director of the Sakai Foundation visited Edia on October 5. He was in Amsterdam to speak on the OpenIC Symposium. This was a chance for Edia to update him on the Sakai Development that we've been doing recently. Micheals blog post about the visit is an excellent summary.

Digital Dutch Language Portfolio

Edia is currently developing a Digitaal Dutch Language Portfolio for CINOP. Coming September CINOP will setup a pilot for this environment. Early 2011, the product will be taken into production.

Sakai Commercial Affiliate Program

Recently, Edia became a member of the Sakai Foundation Commercial Affiliate Program. By joining this program Edia is supporting the Foundation's work, the development of Sakai, and to directly contribute to Open Source technological innovations  for higher education.

Edia develops Gradebook for CSU

Last summer, Charles Sturt University (CSU) hired Edia to develop a Gradebook tool for Sakai. This tool is still in design and will feature some features specifically designed for CSU. Based on CSU's functional design Edia has designed to develop a completely new tool, rather than making adjustments to the old design.
Some of the unique features of the tool are:

Edia neemt op 3 december deel aan het kennispodium Participatie via Technologische Innovatie georganiseerd door ITPreneurs. Edia presenteert daar samen met ITPreneurs haar plannen rondom een innovatief programma voor het alfabetiseren van laaggeletterden. In deze toepassing wordt innovatieve technologie, een touch-screen pen display, ingezet voor de eerste fase bij het leren lezen en schrijven. U vindt ons op het beurslandschap.
