Motivation

At Edia, we have a passion for education, are inspired by the possibilities of new technology, and have experienced how the emergence of the networked society has changed the nature of communication and the value of information and knowledge. Educational institutions are facing great challenges in integrating ICT in their organization. Edia wants to help in making ICT and education a success.

Mission

Using technology so that people have the opportunity to develop themselves, that is what we aim for. We achieve this by scaffolding cognitive learning processes, provide improved access to information and knowledge, and help learners connect with experts, teachers or peers. This inspires and motivates learners to develop themselves.

Vision

Most educational institutions see the potential of using ICT and acknowledge societies need for ICT skilled people, but they often lack the specific knowledge about how to use ICT in their organisation. This results in a situation where the potential of ICT is not reached, or worse still, that there is skepticism about the deployment of ICT in education. Edia's passion for education goes further than the development of good software. We see it as our responsibility to research and communicate where ICT does and where ICT does not results in improved learning, so that ICT can be effectively integrated into the existing learning context.
