Edia neemt op 3 december deel aan het kennispodium Participatie via Technologische Innovatie georganiseerd door ITPreneurs. Edia presenteert daar samen met ITPreneurs haar plannen rondom een innovatief programma voor het alfabetiseren van laaggeletterden. In deze toepassing wordt innovatieve technologie, een touch-screen pen display, ingezet voor de eerste fase bij het leren lezen en schrijven. U vindt ons op het beurslandschap.
Slimme Nieuwslezer getest tijdens de week van de alfabetisering
Tijdens de Week van de Alfabetisering wordt de de eerste versie van de Slimme Nieuwslezer voor Laaggeletterden getest in de Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam.

CATO: Integrated domain- and language learning
Edia participates in a consortium together with the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and InHolland University of Applied Sciences. The consortium aims at the implementation and further development of the CATO software for integrated content and language learning. The CATO software is developed by Edia. In CATO, domain specific materials from a number of domains, such as health or history are used for language learning. Central goal is the prevention of language related drop-out.
